John Kerry, the US Secretary of State is finally apologizing for all the discrimination he has thrown at the LGBT community throughout the years, more specifically to the US diplomats who have experienced prejudice and discrimination based on their various perceived sexual orientations. In his apology Kerry stated, "These actions were wrong then, just as they would be wrong today. On behalf of the Department, I apologize to those who were impacted by the practices of the past and reaffirm the Department’s steadfast commitment to diversity and inclusion for all our employees, including members of the LGBTI community." Last summer Congress discussed whether or not government contractors should be allowed to consider sexual orientation and identity during the hiring process. / For more, add us on Facebook!
